Cadiz excursion
A day trip to the ancient city of Cadiz and the delightful port town of Santa Maria
To make the most of your day, you should plan to arrive in El Puerto de Santa Maria by 9:30am. Have a look around the famous town and try a typical Spanish breakfast whilst waiting for the arrival of "El Vaporcito".
The boat leaves El Puerto at 11:15 and arrives into Cadiz at 12:00pm. Once in Cadiz, you just follow our very simple route around the city. Designed to ensure you see all of the most famous monuments and landmarks, you can wander at your own pace, stopping whenever you want. Some of the sights include - The Cathedral, the Cadiz food market, the Balneario, the Santa Catalina and San Sebastian castles, the Torre Tavira and the Art and Archeology museum.
Midway through your route you may like to rest and relax at one of our recommended bars or restaurants to try out their specialities. In nearly all cases we recommend fish of some description!!!
Once you have walked the route, depending on the time, you can catch the 16:45 or the 18:45 boat back to El Puerto.
Price: 25 euros per person. (Includes: Return ferry ticket, entrance to the Torre Tavira, free entrance to the museum). (Does not include food and drink)
