Leather and White Vllages day excursion
This example itinerary is for anyone staying in Jerez. If you are staying elsewhere, we can easily make you an equally straight-forward route plan.
To make the most of the day you should leave your hotel by 9am. It is a short 20 minute drive to the white village of Arcos de la Frontera. Here you can have morning coffee just off the Plaza del Cabildo in the casco antiguo. Take some time to explore the small winding streets and especially to check out the stunning views from the Plaza across the valley.
A 40 minute drive to Ubrique will find you in the leather mecca of Andalucia. Here you can park just off the Doctor Solis Pascual Highstreet. Take your time looking around the leather shops on the Highstreet and along the Avenida de Espana.
Then, on to the gorgeous white village of Grazalema. Drive at a leisurely pace, because the scenery is breathtaking. In Grazalema we will recommend to you the best bars and restaurants depending on the time of year and the house specialities that you should try. After enjoying a leisurely lunch, wander around the village centre and finish with a coffee in the square.
Driving out of Grazalema we recommend that you stop at the mirador 3km up the hill to look out across the Sierra valley. After pausing, your drive will take you through picturesque El Bosque, where, if you have time we suggest you have a drink by the river. It is then a 35 minute drive back to Jerez.
