The Coast
The Costa de la Luz
We believe that the Costa de la Luz has been the best kept secret in Spain. Whilst the Costa del Sol was being sold Europe-wide to avid sun-worshippers, the "coast of light" remained relatively untouched, maintaining a wild and untamed quality now rarely found in Spain. For decades, thousands of Spaniards have flocked to its coastline in summer to enjoy kilometres of perfect beaches. Today, even with growing foreign tourism in the region, one can still walk vast lengths of virgin coastline without seeing a soul.
With strong winds funnelling up and down the strait between Spain and North Africa, and with a coastline facing the Atlantic, Cadiz province has become one of the watersports capitals of Europe. Great surfing, world renowned kite and windsurfing, sailing and scuba diving are just some of the activities on offer.
Whether you are keen to try out some of the watersports, or you just want to find some peace and quiet on the more remote stretches of coastline, we guarantee the "coast of light" will not disappoint you.
